DEFENCE PROJECTS

Cyber Domain Project Test 02

The Varley Group has submitted a strong response to the Australian Government’s tender for a replacement to the ageing 65-year-old amphibious vehicle, LARC-V, with a new vehicle called Ganyarra. Ganyarra is a high-performance amphibious vehicle that has been specifically designed to meet the requirements set out by the Australian Government.

Ganyarra has a 5000 kg payload capacity, a top speed of 8 knots in water and 80 kph on land, and the ability to make beach landings in sea state 5. Its 100 nm range at sea and up to 800 km on land make it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including combat, utility and humanitarian and disaster relief.

The Varley Group’s decision to name the new vehicle Ganyarra, the traditional name for crocodile in the Cairns to Port Douglas region, highlights the company’s commitment to honouring and respecting the indigenous culture and heritage of Australia. This is a welcome development that further underscores the Varley Group’s dedication to building strong relationships with its customers and the wider community.

Ganyarra is a testament to the Varley Group’s capabilities in designing and developing high-performance, innovative vehicles that can operate in challenging environments. The company’s strong focus on customer service and support, coupled with its extensive in-house capabilities, ensures that it is well-positioned to deliver a comprehensive, turnkey solution that meets the Australian Government’s requirements.

Overall, the Varley Group’s decision to respond to the Australian Government’s tender with Ganyarra is a strong indication of the company’s commitment to innovation, customer service, and its recognition of the importance of respecting and honouring the cultural heritage of Australia.
